That would be nice, but his average against England was actually 32.44. No idea who you're talking about, even O'Reilly averaged 25.Averaging 23 vs England not that bad tbh.

Quite right.Averaging 23 vs England not that bad tbh.

My bad, I just thought since we were adjusting the batsmen down I’d do the same for the bowlers.Quite right.
Shame he averaged 32.5 then.
Yeah, definitely - though TBF I had Stokes well ahead of Freddie before yesterday's innings too.Following Stokesey’s defining knock yesterday, do you guys reckon Stokes is a more valuable all rounder than Freddie, if both formats are considered?
Can we do a similar thing and say Zak Crawley is really more like a 35 averaging batsman because surely nobody could be quite as bad as his stats appear?I do realise, but given how stratospheric his average is it's probably inflated beyond its "genuine" value.
Stokes is definitely better in Tests, but Flintoff was much better in ODIs.Following Stokesey’s defining knock yesterday, do you guys reckon Stokes is a more valuable all rounder than Freddie, if both formats are considered?
Definitely not in Tests. Is the difference between Stokes’s and Flintoff’s bowling skill larger than their Batting Skills?
Flintoff was better in odis with a worse team but Stokes has him edged in tests and also was instrumental in winning an odi wc so he should be more valuableFollowing Stokesey’s defining knock yesterday, do you guys reckon Stokes is a more valuable all rounder than Freddie, if both formats are considered?
thats why i said across the two formats, i wanted to evaluate them overall as players. Which ofc makes the debate more difficultDefinitely not in Tests.
My mind kind of explodes when I try to do that, because I will naturally just want to weight Tests more. We tend to keep things separate here.thats why i said across the two formats
Yeah I really hate this, they’re basically different games.I don't really like cross-format comparisons much but I find it harder than the above blokes.
"Taking into account both sculling beers and scoffing pizza, who's the bigger pig out of Stevo and Damo?"Yeah I really hate this, they’re basically different games.
Its like if someone asked me to compare League and Union players.
Good question… Stevo sculls a better beer but Damo scoffs a better pizza. As an alcoholic I place heavy weight on the beers, but as a heavy weight I also place heavy weight on the pizza. WHAT IS THE CONVERSION RATIO OF BEER TO PIZZA ANYWAY?!!!! WHO IS MORE VALUABLE??"Taking into account both sculling beers and scoffing pizza, who's the bigger pig out of Stevo and Damo?"
So is Imran in there twice on cricketing skill or in there twice on cheating ability?Cheats/Against the 'Spirit of the Game' XI/Players People don't like XI:
WG Grace
David Warner
Rahul Dravid
Steve Smith
Greg Chappell
Imran Khan
M.S. Dhoni
Imran Khan
Wasim Akram
Shane Warne
Murali
Based on cricketing skill, not cheating ability/scale
Latter probably. Also why the **** would anyone have Dravid in that XI?So is Imran in there twice on cricketing skill or in there twice on cheating ability?
