85% of my posts are basically just references to other posts now. If you're not constantly reading the forum you won't get what I'm saying, and if you do get what I'm saying you'll roll your eyes at the repetitiveness.

So it's definitely pretty crap posting, but not actually for the reason you think.
Haha!! I did think I read a comment previously suggesting there’s a large in-joke material you post. It’s fair enough mate, I’m just licking my wounds after more disappointment! Though I have missed your opinion based posts even if I didn’t agree with them all!

Right but on roads the first struggle is to control the tempo of the game. With this tactic you can do that, because it's so hard to score against unless you really go full Stokes and try and hit every ball for six.
Yeah so at worst it's a tactic the bowling side can pull out when they're behind in the game and they want to just stall it

which is ****, I agree. I think we'll see batsmen develop better plans against it than they showed this game. It was pretty poor from all the batsmen here

There's no doubt Australia deserved this win - they had the worst of the conditions but as with the 1st test we had chances to take control and didn't take them.

The think the rule as regards the Bairstow type dismissal needs looking at. Yes he was careless but its not a great look for cricket.

How can you though? The ball is literally on its way before Bairstow has even left the crease. When is the ball dead?

This one was definitely better. The Headingly one was **** lucky batting
Okay sure.

What we didn't have here was seeing how he dealt with it getting so close. Had clearly just run out of steam. Any sort of platform and it could have been a different story.

The umpire wasn't even watching because he'd turned to give the bowler his cap.

When the ball is in the keepers hands and the batsmen isn't attempting a run, then most would consider the ball to be dead.

By the rules it's out, and Bairstow was really poor but there have been plenty of dimissals down the years that leave a bitter taste and this is another one.
