*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

Happy they shaved the pitch. Perfect now for Starc and later on Lyon

Will be hilarious when Eng are fined another 2 WTC points for slow over rates with 5 pacers 😀

(hope they don't break their best batsman by over bowling him)

I think it's smart that he doesn't. He's a vital weapon for England in all 3 formats, if they want him to continue to be so - they need to look after him.

Has there ever been an all three formats 150+ guy who stays fit?
if you aren’t too strict about being fit Nortje is a good shout

Mitch Johnson was many things but he was always extremely fit after his early career stress fracture problems.

Yeah that's a very valid point so who do you turn to for some extra pace if Tongue was left out
Why do you need extra pace on English wickets? It's not like Australia has had amazing success bringing 150km/h+ bowlers over there.

Brett Lee played for 17 years and only missed games due to random injuries

Wood’s elbow injury has been a problem for a few years and before that it was a serious ankle issue

There is so much trash talk on here. Thankfully when play starts, there will be more to post about.

On the topic of injuries, Lyon will be playing his 100th consecutive Test apparently

Pretty impressive in any regards but especially given that one concern a lot of people had early in his career was his stamina and physical fitness

Seems like Lyon can easily play until 40 if he wants to as he doesn’t seem to have any degenerative injuries and doesn’t rely upon athleticism either
