Hetmyer is a headache. Between travel issues, availability etc.
Seales is still recovering from injury, there is other pacers as well that should come into contention.
Haynes and the selection panel have made some strange choices as well.

We should just quit ODI cricket tbh. To have Netherlands chase 374 and then score 30 in the super over.... that is the sort of thing that ends careers.

WI probably just aren't really much better than them, if at all.

And for all the - probably justified - crying about the funding model etc, WI just aren't actually better than a team that isn't a full member, doesn't play Tests, gets massively less money in the cooked funding model and has many of its best players unavailable (yes yes I appreciate the irony of the last one, but still)

The bowling attack needs a complete redesign apart from Alzarri and Akheil. The batting with a couple of tweaks is ok.

The selection is/was bad, no doubt.

But no-one is fixing this with selection.

I concur. It will result in small improvements which are under our control. But it is most definitely a longer term fix than that and it will be years before the current work of our academy and schools programme comes to fruition. Until then it is PAIN.

The fact we are not is a failure in so many ways, of administration, selection, coaching etc. In this team we have Pooran averaging 40 at a stirkerate of 100, Hope averaging over 50 with 15 tons, Alzarri Joseph the fastest West Indian to 100 wickets, Akheil Hossein who is an excellent SLA at international level etc. The fact that even with those players we are the same standard as the Netherlands is ridiculous. Our white ball cricket is rotten.

Scotland still have a say , they won't be an easy team to beat for Zimbabwe or Sri Lanka tomorrow for that fact .

Yep plus the batting meltdown under pressure against Zimbabwe. Basically this team is uttely inept under pressure. Weirdly our test team is quite good under pressure in tight situations for the most part, but these white ball guys are pathetic.

It is good for the wi that they are not coming to the world cup. If they can't defeat Zim and NL how can they fight against the Aus ,eng or India. I can't see wi team getting bashed everywhere. Better they should use this time to make a proper new squad with Alzari , akela, shai , pooran , king as the Main players.
