Sarfraz will never get the chance. Indian team give more preference to ipl than domestic fc. Plus they say he is not fit enough to play.

i don't think king has the ability to play tests. He is a good limited over player but his technique against the moving ball plus the way he plays spin is not good. That's why I have left the spot. I think WI can give another go to shai hope, he is more mature now and can play lower down the order at 5 because he struggles against the new ball. With the ball getting soft he could be good plus he is a good player of spin.

But I suspect Chase will still get picked instead of King using the excuse that we need a part time spin option. They could then replace Motie with Seales if they wanted an extra seamer.

yeah on looking by the performance sarfaraz was an instant choice after Pujara. But the selectors are not interested in him. No need of Axar in the test squad. Rahane inclusion is good but making him vc just after 1 test is absurd. Kohli and Rohit form is the issue plus kohli record in wi is pathetic. If we remove his 1 double hundred in Antigua , his average is barely 20. Even though he made his debut there but still not a very good record

Saini is one of our taller bowlers so maybe they see that as a point of difference as well.

I wish it was a 3 test series. Would have had Sarfraz for Rahane but we have shot ourselves in the foot so much that we do not have a ready vice captain in our first choice XI.

Maybe the bowling attack could be Unadkat, Siraj, Shardul, Ash and Jaddu.

3 test series should be a must between two teams. These two test match series doesn't create that sort of competition and hype. Like if my chance a team loses 1 test he can at max draw the series.
