Nah. BazBall had them winning the game until the end.Stokes' idiotic captaincy decision making in the critical moment of this first match, would be really justifiable grounds for crucifixion by the English fans and media.
BBC interview, sounded hurt.i would love to see this part but all i got are ads ffs
It’s how England play and you will see more of itThere will always be dropped catches, no-ball wickets and outstanding batting in a test match which will decide its course...what doesn't happen that often are meaningless declarations on a benign 1st day pitch when your best batsman was in blistering form and getting solid support from the lower order...
by nothing i obviously meant cred like the guy i was responding to. second part of my post should have made that clear. He lost his mother. That's a lot more important than a game of cricket.
Not surprised. That must've hurt like **** to not bowl when the whips were cracking at the endJimmy sounds close to tears.
I reckon they'll stick to their guns.Bazball won't be the same now, Root will not be playing those crazy reverse sweeps for some time.
Good point actually. Bazball’s success has been so dependent on Root Bradmaning it over the last year, if Root were to start doubting it the whole deck of cards could come down.Bazball won't be the same now, Root will not be playing those crazy reverse sweeps for some time.
Nothing wrong with the reverse sweeps. Everything wrong with declaring whilst Mr Reverse Sweep is taking the Aussie bowlers to the cleaners.Bazball won't be the same now, Root will not be playing those crazy reverse sweeps for some time.
Can't believe he didn't tbf.Not surprised. That must've hurt like **** to not bowl when the whips were cracking at the end
If this is directed at me, I never said Stokes is an arrogant individual. I said his decision to declare was.Yes they are.
the person I quoted said it was arrogance
+1you don’t have to be an arrogant person to take a cricket decision that can easily be perceived as arrogant
Oh then they you goIf this is directed at me, I never said Stokes is an arrogant individual. I said his decision to declare was.
It clearly works, it just needs a little fine tuning at times. As Nasser said, they need to be a little 'cuter' against Lyon, too many soft wickets there.England lost by an Innings to an SA lineup that had no batsmen and lost that follow on game vs NZ but didn't stop playing their way. This loss isn't gonna suddenly rewrite their way of playing.
