Most Stumpings in an Ashes Test in England :

4 - John Blackman (AUS) @ Lords 1888

3- James Kelly (AUS) @ Old Trafford 1896
Arthur Lilley (ENG) @ Trent Bridge 1905
Godfrey Evans (ENG) @ Old Trafford 1953
Alan Knott (ENG) @ Headingley 1968
Alex Carey (AUS) @ Edgbaston 2023

Carey in good company 👌
Poor old Jack Blackham can't even get his name spelled correctly.

Boland looks really ordinary on these wickets. He places the ball hoping for seam movement- which never arrives on this dead track. Neser is a better bet- he can atleast swing the ball. Starc - will be even more expensive.

It looks like only Rain can save this test- it will likely be a draw as rain forecast tomorrow and england will atleast want 300
I know whom I'd rather have in my side between McGrath and Anderson on a road. It's not the swing bowler. Boland was due a paddling and dumping him now would be egregious. He wasn't going to maintain Lohmannesque figures forever.

We don't need to keep saying "that's a good shot by Root" because it's kind of what we expect from such a good batsman. An exceptional shot, certainly.
I agree

another twist as Brook departs to a quality catch by labuschagne

this game is like a roller coaster , with all the ups and downs for both sides

now we see the ginger mafia to get England into a decent position

157 lead

i want at least 280 lead

Thinking that this style of batting has arrived at a perfect time for Todd Murphy to forge a career with his quicker off-spin.

Lyon not slowing down though!

Would be pretty funny if England list this match after all the media drooling over how Bazball has unsettled Australia so much.
