Ehh, renshaw's made a ton of county and shield runs, I think he's ready for another go. Whiteman's also been fantastic in the shield for the best part of 3 years. Neither of those two are warner or khawaja level but their decent. Jewell is also coming along nicely.
Be nice if they could get their FC career averages above forty.

he's not a test standard wicketkeeper. india also had Dravid- who was a part time keeper, but great batter. this is what happens when u put a no.3 batsman into a wicketkeeping role.
He's a better keeper than Dravid but hasn't been good enough here. Keeping in Tests is a completely different game to doing it in T20s or ODIs. It's a game of attrition, physical and mental demands are massive. I've only kept more than 100 overs a few times and it's ****ed

Agree. its very tough on the body - wicketkeeping, especially the crouch position all day long. Also how is he going to keep wicket in say the subcontinent- with those fine edges if he cant keep to Moeen here!

this is what happens when u put a no.3 batsman into a wicketkeeping role.
Bairstow has kept loads in his career and has generally been fine.
