Considering practically the whole first choice bowling attack is out (see cricaddict's post) that's not too bad signs imo
Good that they bowled out that Ireland side with experienced and established batsmen…and the next best thing in international cricket (Tector)…yes hyperboleConsidering practically the whole first choice bowling attack is out (see cricaddict's post) that's not too bad signs imo
We'll find a way to f it up I'm sure. Our bowling is suspect and they insist on playing a whole host of sub-performing all-rounders in Holder, Chase and Shepherd.Really hard to look past WI and Sri Lanka here for those two slots.
Truer words have never been spoken. Jason Holder and Chase don’t fit the modern day ODI mold; at least Shepherd is reliable down the order (7.5/10 times he makes the score he concedes with the ball.)We'll find a way to f it up I'm sure. Ireland do seem to love playing the West Indies tbf. I could definitely see them knocking them off but then dropping a game to Zimbabwe or Scotland or something and having WI qualify anyway.Really hard to look past WI and Sri Lanka here for those two slots.
Yes, that will be so Ireland.Ireland do seem to love playing the West Indies tbf. I could definitely see them knocking them off but then dropping a game to Zimbabwe or Scotland or something and having WI qualify anyway.
Jason Holder has been very mediocre in whiteball cricket for ages but gets picked constantly because of his red ball record. I hope having a specific white ball coach will enable them to look at his performances and realise he is not adding value to the team.Truer words have never been spoken. They are probably showing respect for Holder by choosing him. But respect is not enough to win, especially if winning is so important.Jason Holder has been very mediocre in whiteball cricket for ages but gets picked constantly because of his red ball record. Chase, well I don't think I can say anymore. They keep inventing roles to keep him in the team. If Akheil has a bad couple of games what's the betting we'll see Chase as the specialist finger spinner?
Romario has been better recently, I'll cut him ome slack. Especially as his batting is so destructive.
He deserves to be dropped if it's on merit, that's for sure. They are probably showing respect for Holder by choosing him. But respect is not enough to win, especially if winning is so important.
Jason Holder should have never played white ball cricket again after that match (SA wearing pink). AB’s carnage. They are probably showing respect for Holder by choosing him. But respect is not enough to win, especially if winning is so important.
insert Thanos quoteYannick Cariah was hit in the face in training and broke his nose. Thus Chase is now certain to play. That man cannot be dropped, no matter the circumstances.
