TrueYeah Southee v Hoggard is harder to split but both are definitely better than Lillee.

From the mouth of babes...that have no clue ?McGrath is most definitely in the GOAT conversation......Lillee wouldn't be in the top 10.
You said it, not me.Mad Aussie Tragic noises
Steve Waugh was an allrounder for a while, and Reiffel was a bowling allrounder of sorts. You are covering 46 years of cricket with Botham, Flintoff and Stokes. Aus have had their share with Greg Matthews (averages over 40 with bat), Shane Watson and Andrew Symonds while Adam Gilchrist could be considered one of the best all-rounders ever. Then there is Green who has the potential to be better then them all ?
He also claimed to live in Asia ?You said it, not me.
Holding the phone on this one at least for now.Looks like @Qlder a good addition to the forum, he really knows his ****
TBF though none of the players he mentioned are in the class of Chris Harris.
Setting 50 runs and 5 wickets in a match as the criteria for an all round performance is insanely lopsided anyway. The batting equivalent of that would be a ton and 2 wickets.Holding the phone on this one at least for now.
Lol gtfo....mate if you are seriously arguing this point then you've definitely tagged yourself in the to be ignored category in cricket discussion. From the mouth of babes...that have no clue ?
I don’t agree with it but plenty rank him number 1McGrath is most definitely in the GOAT conversation......Lillee wouldn't be in the top 10.
Who? Lillee?I don’t agree with it but plenty rank him number 1
Just so sad. McGrath would have been a step up from Max Walker in 75 vs the best Windies line up but to be stike bowler over Lillee N Thommo is just lolLol gtfo....mate if you are seriously arguing this point then you've definitely tagged yourself in the to be ignored category in cricket discussion.
I'm mean this is just such an insane opinion to hold, I've literally never seen anyone rate Dennis this high. Great bowler and crowd pleaser.....I'd certainly pay to watch him over McGrath. But better?.......not in any way shape or form. Just never ffs.
Pretty sure we've only had one person* on CW really argue it since McGrath's retirement.Cricinfo picked him as the best pacer in both its top 25 countdown and all time XI. It's a popular boomer opinion but popular nonetheless.
This post boomer'd so hard it depleted the ozone layer again.Just so sad. McGrath would have been a step up from Max Walker in 75 vs the best Windies line up but to be stike bowler over Lillee N Thommo is just lol
Australia v West Indies 1975/76 Test cricket series was obviously the peak of human existence. This post boomer'd so hard it depleted the ozone layer again.
McGrath doesn't even drink from the hoseAustralia v West Indies 1975/76 Test cricket series was obviously the peak of human existence.
It was. Look it up Viv Richards became a thing as did Lillee and Thommo against the best batsmen in the World...Australia v West Indies 1975/76 Test cricket series was obviously the peak of human existence.
Oh **** off.Yeah Southee v Hoggard is harder to split but both are definitely better than Lillee.
Harold Larwood became a "thing" against the best batsmen ever.......does that throw him into the GOAT bowler Convo? It was. Look it up Viv Richards became a thing as did Lillee and Thommo against the best batsmen in the World...
