They picked burns over street at the start of the season despite the latter being in far better grade form. Some weird calls definitely come from them at times.
I read that one as more being forced out by Renshaw going back to the top than anything else. They were always going to pick Burns anyway
If you mean this upcoming Ashes, a better Shield season would have had him right in the conversation. If you mean the last Ashes, then no, that was definitely too early for him
