*Official* Australia in India 2023

Tired of comms going on about how India have to win to qualify for WTC. Please stfu, Sri Lanka is not going to win 2-0 in New Zealand. If they miraculously do, good on them. But winning this BG series is much more important than going for 3-1 (& guaranteed WTC Final) at the risk of 2-2. And the team seems to be on the same page as they are not trying to 'force' the scoring rate.

Australia's the one who has to win (not India). They batted slow, great! They bowling negative lines today, even better! Take as much time out of the game as possible.

India needed to draw this match, Australia needed to win. So obviously it's good for one and not so good for the other.
So were they supposed to lob the ball up there in hope on a concrete pitch? Or spray it about like Yadav? Take the green, white and orange out from in front of your eyes for a moment mate. It's clearly a hard deck to take wickets on but also a hard one to score. Forcing the Indian batsmen to fight for their runs is as good a tacitic as any.

Kuldeep Yadav should have played instead of one of the pacers. I think India would have probably won this match with him in the side. Guy is a huge upgrade on Axar Patel especially on this type of pitch.

There is enough rough outside the offstump of right handers. Australia wasted numerous overs outside the leg stump.
