So what is a 'gazunder'?
(c) cricinfo a moment ago.
Seemingly one that doesn't really bounce. Roy played back to a short ball trying to cut it, the ball went under his bat.

And further proof that England don't really give a monkeys about this match as Curran comes in before Buttler.

This a masterclass in how not to rotate the strike. Got a feeling we may not see Curran bat at 5 again. And we probably won't see Vince again at all.

I'm not sure it's about Curran regularly batting at 5. More about whether he can build an innings if we have a top order collapse in a game that matters and he finds himself coming in at 100 for 6.

For me Sam would be the perfect replacement for Stokes if his knee is keeping him out.

I think the more likely reason they're trying him at 5 though is for some practise in case of a collapse in the ODI batting.

Surprised Cork hasn't done more commentary (I don't remember hearing him before, but maybe that's just me).

His voice is somewhat inelegant, but he provides some interesting insights.

In other news, Rehan Ahmed may not be the most talented cricketer in his family. According to cricinfo, his younger brother has played 2nd XI cricket for Nottinghamshire at the age of 14.

I saw a few of Ahmed's overs today. Obviously he's a really exciting prospect, but whilst I'm glad he didn't get a tonking today I reckon he'd be vulnerable to one from top class batters and I reckon he'd not really close to demanding a place currently.

And there's the game, you'd think. I was about to type that Buttler had provided an object lesson in how to rotate the strike, but didn't want to jinx him. Maybe we shouldn't even think these things.
