We are talking about current time . Means last 10 months ( Since Stokes became Captain , don’t go back to 2019 Ashes )
And Eng drawing in NZ >> India drawing at home to Aus .
We are not comparing Eng's away record to Ind's home record.

Comaprison should be between respective away records and home records and Ind is superior to both.

No , we aren’t . What if Aus also draws 2-2 ?
You know I was literally thinking the same thing. If somehow, Australia wins the 3rd test ie a live test I'd say it's touch and go better the 3 sides. If they came back and drew, the 3 teams imo, would practically be level at least in my mind.

That would be a fun scenario. Then another draw in the Ashes to further complicate it.

Even if I think India is better apparently I am still biased against them somehow :)
I still believe England are better than India . Overconfidence did them . England shouldn’t have enforced follow on .

Whereas India have structural problem . Yesterday an England supporter on Twitter posted a stat that Crawley averages more than Kohli since 2020 . And imagine having 3 players like Kohli in your team ?

Definitely. They would have crushed NZ if they batted again.

South Africa by far, they've got all the bases covered. Batsmen for any condition, bowlers who can take 10 wickets no matter the pitch. I give them 5 stars.

No could haves or would haves please. The pitch got better as the days went on. Crucial breakthrough was the lucky one of Brook's run-out which changed the course of the chase.

Playing the would/could have game,
It is not a certainty that England would have won if they batted again. They could have got out to a sub 200 score and NZ could have then chased 400 against a tired England attack on a flat pitch on the fifth day.

How likely would England get out for a sub-200 score if the pitch was easier to bat on? England's attack would get a breather and then would take out NZ chasing a likely mountain.

England made a mistake in enforcing the follow-on and they should pay for it with not winning the series and having their ranking affected.

Nah, there's no way England is a better side than India atm.
