You really are an idiot. If you can't see that there has been a remarkable difference between Roots Eng and Stokes I don't know what to say to you........what is the premise of this thread you utter moron? It's not talking about the last 3 or 4 years. It talking right now.
I’ve read on here that people should take into account who Aus has played recently in ranking their performances, which of course is perfectly reasonable. Noting of course SA’s batting was terrible but their attack is still world class and was dominated.
Then the same people blow a load all over themselves about an England side which beat a half strength Pakistan with no bowlers on featherbeds and which has played well against a NZ team basically on its collective last legs with an attack which can’t get a ball above 130kph or hip height these days.
My own view is India is still the best side going around atm. Unbeatable at home and has series wins here under their belt and a drawn series in England as well.
For their part, England is in for the rudest awakening imaginable come June and July, when they’ll be systemically taken apart by a team which actually has some decent fast bowlers.
They’ll either prepare flat decks which will play straight into the hands of Australia’s batting line up against a geriatric attack full of plodders while Aus bowlers always prosper on seamy roads; or they’ll prep juicy decks which will see what passes for their batting “approach” come undone inside two sessions against Cummins, Haze, Starc,Green, Neser, JRich et al. A conga line of misery for the might of Crawley, Duckett and Pope (lol @ that top three, I mean come on).
Been saying for months, this won’t even be close. Aus 3-0 or 4-0, weather depending.
Corrin and assorted acolytes in the foetal position by the end of June.
As things should be tbh.
Edit: And I didn't even include Boland in the list of quicks. England are doomed.
