Why Joe why
Poster makes comment saying people who watch Joe Root know he deliberately placed a dab cut.Basically any time @Burgey says something irrelevant, someone has to apologise to him.
This could be a long night!
Gave away some gimmes early but has done the hard yards and been a lot tighter since.Well deserved by Henry. He's bowled really well today.
Amazing stat for someone with so many 50s.Unless I'm mistaken this is now only the 2nd time in a test Root has been dismissed in the 90's.
Honestly they can just declare when at 9 down if they need to, really makes no difference.A question for our England fans (tagging @Pothas coz he just posted) - We have the other thread about how long Jimmy A can play. Would you be comfortable if he really reaches a situation when he basically cannot bat and cannot play the short ball? There is always going to be the risk of injury and he seems less and less confident as a batsman as days go by. Surely that will be a factor in how long he plays?
Yeah his spells just before and ever since he went off to have his back treated have been immense here.Gave away some gimmes early but has done the hard yards and been a lot tighter since.
So if you point out that Root has been dismissed previously playing a similar shot, in your mind you have just proven that Root did not intend to play the shot and that the poster who said that he did was wrong and owes you an apology?Poster makes comment saying people who watch Joe Root know he deliberately placed a dab cut.
Other poster says that shot has brought Joe Root undone on several occasions in their time watching him.
First poster takes umbrage at that and thinks that observation - about the same shot which Joe Root just played - is irrelevant.
Not really as he’s never been anything other than a bunnyA question for our England fans (tagging @Pothas coz he just posted) - We have the other thread about how long Jimmy A can play. With regards to McCullum, losing is bad but drawing a 2 test series is fine...... especially against your former team and nation. As relaxed as Baz and Stokes are looking surely they're nervous deep inside. No one would like to lose a match after being in the field for 5 days. That's a torture.
Foakes pretty much playing the opposite of Bazball here.It would be a fitting way for Bazball to die … going down in a flaming wreck by losing after enforcing the follow on.
Nah he had been an obstinate #11 a number of times. Just wondering if they will miss it and more importantly, the risk of being a bowler down due to injury if he has to face up to short balls. Not really as he’s never been anything other than a bunny
The way these two play this is probably the best bet.England playing for a draw? This is when you need bazzball you'd think
Not sure who'd share it with Southee - Henry's already bowled 10 in this spell. If Foakes isn't aggressive NZ might be able grab the second new ball
