Hui gets Simmonds and the LOY picks up Smith after being taking for 3 fours in that same over!

93/5 after 25, we're on top now. Need to close this out. Chambers and Murdoch both match-winners in their own right.

this is now the highest partnership for AXI. Ominous with Ram and Daly still to come. Plenty of life left in this game.

Playing commentators curse! But guess RRR with only 13 overs left is still potentially manageable - 6 wickets down not so ideal though

The Law/Chung partnership was good too, 75 off just 49 in tough conditions.

Our bowling has won us most games this season tho. Overall BQ of 6.5, not a single weak link in this attack in home conditions. There's pace, accuracy, movement, variation and variety. 235 was probably a par score, but they made it look massive.

Agreed, in a low scoring game a partnership of 114 for opening wicket set you on your way. Congrats Free HK, Commiseration to ataraXIa who still had a good CWC7 reaching the final.

I think the best two managers got to the final - you see that in the teams and their knowledge and Rankings in Stumped main game

Not knocking anyone else- we are all learning fast and improving

Someone should go back through past tournaments and make a new thread that has all the results + links to the tournament pages / final matches / etc.

Winton CC with a shock win in DEV 1.1 today. Beat league leaders Northdown by 3 wickets. Chasing 185 a solid but very slow start as Goonesekara and Hailstone put on 64 in 21.3 overs for the opening wicket. A sprinkling of wickets left us needing 34 from 19 balls with 3 wickets remaining when Brock Stone hit an unbeaten 48 not out off 36 balls to see us through with 4 balls to spare. Undoubtedly will be getting relegated as was only our 2nd win of the season but XPV has gradually increased. Started at 36.2, hitting 37k for the first time in 4th match and now at 43.7k

Meanwhile, Charminster CC after 7 straight losses to start of DEV 1.1 recorded their 4th win in their last 5 games beating previously 2nd Kalinga Knights by 5 wickets.

Not been much for us to cheer this season with the rebuild but certainly our best day of the season so far.
