This Indian team is so reminiscent of the India 90s men's team.

Relying heavily on their talent and boundary hitting abilities alone while lacking in proactiveness, athleticism, good running between wickets etc.

The good thing about today is that they were proactive in scoring quick runs despite losing 3 early wickets something that the captain pointed out after last game that they had to improve upon.

Yeah, this was definitely a game that felt was decided in the small details. Australia were by their standards terrible with the ball and missed a few opportunities in the field but were still far better than India, and then in the really crunch moments Jonassen and Gardner executed their plan whilst India served up a bunch of full tosses which were duly punished.

Do the Indian and Australian teams hate each other? There doesn't seem to be much goodwill. Giving batters a send off seems common. Hopefully the WPL will bring them together.

Would you bet on Australia? I bet on England at 4.5. They are 3 now and still better value than the Aussies.
From what we've seen you've got a good price. England have arguably played the better cricket in the tournament so far and certainly beat India far more comfortably. Obviously they have to beat SA first, but if the final offers spin, then I'd back the English trio to outbowl their Aussie counterparts, especially Ecclestone.

There's certainly no love lost between Eng/Ind either after the Deepti affair.

I honestly can't understand why the Mankad is controversial. I have never left the crease early when I was batting. Why should we encourage people to get a head start?

I just don't feel in that instant Dean was even leaving early, it was a couple of inches at the most. In a dead rubber, bowling to a number 11 with 15 runs to get and a decent crowd in, wasn't the best look for Women's Cricket. No sympathy yesterday for Kaur's unfortunate run out, **** like that will come back to bite you.

There’s a reason why Australia is at those odds

Average day, they’re miles better than every other country

Bad news is that women’s cricket is still at a very immature stage in Australia

Indian players said they saw her doing it often and hence the run out was attempted later on. So your speculation is more convincing than what the players have seen on the pitch? Stop being so salty.

Technically there is no right or wrong time to attempt that run out. In fact had she attempted the same run out in a series decider that would've created more hue and cry.

An undue advantage to a batter should be prevented. Either by change in rules by ICC or by the bowler who has the authority to run the non-striker out. I'd prefer the former but it doesn't look like it will change anytime soon.

Then why not say something? It's what most teams do.

Maybe they should've saved it for a match that matters? Judged on yesterday, they could've done with a bit more death bowling practice.

Saved it for a match that matters? Hmm. Maybe the Aus batters yesterday knew how to play by the rules and did not step out? Unlike Charlie Dean.

Or maybe they showed their hand in a meaningless dead rubber and now everyone knows not to trust them even being a couple of inches out of your ground.
