really looking at something like 15/3 here before Iyer joins Rohit and then hopefully the two of them can knock off a big chunk of this score. And if they don't, it will all be up on Jaddu/Ashwin/Axar to save us again.

Presumably given Shaw has seemingly been discarded for good.
Sarfraz needs to come in for one of Pujara/Kohli too.
Got some other good young bats knocking around worthy of a go as well, but they're all openers (Mayank Agarwal, Jaiswal, Easwaran) so maybe Gill takes a middle order role alongside Sarfraz and one of those guys comes in as opener.

Eh it's more "Gill is a little better than Rahul" than being truly confident he's amazing.
Agarwal had a dreadful series in SA but should still be in the frame for home tests. Not sure why he's fallen that far down the pecking order.
