Stumped!

FHK risking relegation in Dev 2.2 atm. We got a lot of talented young kids I wanna give games to but they're raw, and overall our bowling quality is poor. Lost some games we should have won so that doesn't help. Now stuck between trying to win every Dev game, which hinders the kid's development, and trying to get game time into everyone. Tough spot.

Dev performance is unimportant, especially when one has $10M in the bank as FHK do. Play around whilst handing IGT out imo.
thing is the IGT in Div 3 isn't as good as the IGT in Div 2. Finances aren't the concern, I feel it's better long term for the player's development to stay up in Div 2

Now, is getting only 3-4 games in Div 2 better than a whole season of Div 3...probably not. So I should just bite the bullet and accept the inevitable relegation...

Huh, that's a fair point I hadn't considered before. Doesn't impact batting IGT so much but I guess bowling IGT will take hit. That said, 4 overs instead of 8 isn't a massive difference – it'll be what, 80%?

you get about 70% of full bowling IGT from 3 overs IIRC. I don't know the gap in IGT between Div 2 and Div 3 though. Div 2 is more, but like, is 3 overs of Div 2 bowling worth more than 8 overs at Div 3? Does 7 innings at Div 2 equate to 14 at Div 3?

I don’t think there is a difference in IGT between divs. I stand to correction but that would be very punishing for new/developing teams.

Was checking on this and seems to be correct. Only thing is experience which is based on match length... which obviously can be quite short if playing against lots of bots etc. So experience gains are probably better at higher divs.

FHK's default XI took down AXI in back to back T20s. Which is frustrating, because I actually wanted to use these games to test out a new combination, but didn't get around to setting the lineups!!

I really hope you have dropped the ball there zor.ax on the IGT being more in Div1 then 2 than 3 etc - i have never heard that !! I know about the 1 ball for batters etc and had many debates on IGT for bowlers and the relative importance of 1 over in OD T20 and DEV but no one has ever said anything about DIV differentiation- but you never know with these veterans how they keep hold of their millions and their secrets (not you mate!)

PS great Bangladesh win - well done - also my first ever cap for Palanth who performed well in his maiden match with an opening 52!

Prabhjeet Ram got another cap too. Not sure why, he seems fairly mediocre atm! But it sure helped us, good to get a win on the board. :)

Holy ****. What a T20 for the ‘Nauts.

seems like some rotation from Jim’s but we’d rotated a little ourselves expecting to get thumped.

Tried @ataraxia ‘s advice and the power play was a lot more fruitful than the back end of our innings.

seemed like we were going to pay the price for not batting out the overs but Alun Langley is developing a habit of really punching above his weight

Oh now I see why! Well it would be a mean chap who denied you the right to enjoy a win against the team 8th in the world and had a superior XPV (although his WR is based on his OD rather than T20 skills, though he looks like he will take the title)

I'm happy to have edged in front of the Outlaws- but i guess they , I , you and Real Madrid are all in the mix (more or less ) to take the last relegation spot - so a Jim win would have certainly suited us better ...but fair play to your team for a crucial 4 points

You never came back on Post 8,833/8.834 btw ?
