Pretty crazy that Harvey was around this long. You got Hall too, although I expected him to go earlyish. Great picks!Neil Harvey to bat at No.4

I had Crowe lined up for this round only because I thought @ataraxia would grab Harvey.Pretty crazy that Harvey was around this long. You got Hall too, although I expected him to go earlyish. Great picks!
I have carefully planned aggression and defence in my top order. Boycs and Harvey will tire those awesome bowlers and Richards and Greenidge can bully those tired bowlers.I thought of getting Harvey but isn't he known to be a very defensive batsman? Went with Mad Max instead as he is a personal favorite but I also think it gives us a very rounded batting line-up in every sense.
I have to ask you the GB Shaw question huh?I have carefully planned aggression and defence in my top order. Boycs and Harvey will tire those awesome bowlers and Richards and Greenidge can bully those tired bowlers.
GB Shaw will hardly be of much help, unless he can fire in a nippy off cutter to break kingkallis's batting partnerships.I have to ask you the GB Shaw question huh?
I think I leaned too much into CW's tendency to forget the existence of Harvey tbh. Definitely should have picked him.I had Crowe lined up for this round only because I thought @ataraxia would grab Harvey.
How can you forget something you never saw? To be honest, CW demographics is completely skewed towards 80s, 90s, 00s in who it deems to be it's concensus "canon". There was a recent poster who even made that explicit, picking a team only from those eras and claiming no other side could possibly touch it, discounting both currently playing players with their modern advantages and the entirety of history of cricket that came before those eras as well.I think I leaned too much into CW's tendency to forget the existence of Harvey tbh. I don't know much at all of him but it looks like he was a fairly quick scorer, adjusting for era.
About evens i think.
Mcgrath slots into a world xi with Kallis , with malcolm marshal and ambrose, and wasim akram.
This is the all time world XI not including current players ,and from 1990 onwards to keep the era comparison fair.

this side is unplayable and will beat nearly every team in existence.
Just that it seems Nourse, Compton, May, 3Ws, are way more discussed on CW than Harvey. Also, don't pay attention to halba. How can you forget something you never saw?
