Where did he post it? Just checked his Twitter, which only has a photo with the Bangla quote about the team being a rehab centre for South African coaches. His Facebook doesn't have anything on it.Actually I’ve read his original post and the translation is pretty spot on. Historically Mashrafe has been always against foreign coaches getting gigs here. So it’s understandable where he’s coming from but at the same time he shields his mates with rose tinted glass.
I agree with him for the most part about foreign coaches tbh. You don't need to have been a great player to be a good specialist coach, just an adroit thinker about cricket and cricketing technique. We should be able to produce good coaches ourselves, and if there are good Deshi coaches like that Salauddin chap they all use as a batting mentor, they should be getting gigs.
The head coach also tends to be an organiser, tactician and man-manager more than anything and there's no reason we can't have a Deshi doing that either. It would help us avoid a lot of the cultural and linguistic misunderstandings.
