Not sure why they are so obsessed with scheduling so many one day matches rather than longer format. Only one four day match and useless four one dayers between BD A and HP team.

National Cricket League to start from October 17. But most of our national team players will be busy in T20 WC.

A total of eight teams will participate in the event which will be played in four fields in two different venues in Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar.

My bet on Nazmul Shanto to top score with one double century.

This is so annoying. Just play an extra four-dayer (at least). In the absence of quality first class cricket, and with international A team series being expensive to arrange, this is the best we've got at the moment.

Deshi U/19s have managed to lose the previous 4 of their five YODIs in Sri Lanka. One of them by 1 run, another with three balls left to spare, and the other two comfortably.

Aich Mollah, the batsman I wrote about on a previous page has contributed an 86 and a 53 in his four outings. Ripon Mondol, the bowler I wrote about on a previous page has contributed a pair of 3-fors in his two outings. He was rested in the other two games.

The opening batsman Mahjiful Islam has made a 75 and a 34 among two other single figure scores. He made three scores between 26 and 31 during the five Afghanistan games the other month without converting any of them into half centuries.

No obvious signs of any other standout talents as far as I can see, although it's encouraging that they're rotating the bowlers. U/19s cricket should be about developing players even if it's at the expense of winning - a principle the Indians have adopted for a few years now.

Having said that, being 4-0 down in a five match series is a bit grim. And Sri Lanka have compiled 240 in today's game which should see them through to 5-0.

Think it's probably a pretty bad translation which makes it hard to know what he really said.

A lot of those quotes, the way they're translated, make no logical sense. Why would the coach discuss "the crucial moments of a match" with the captain, when the captain's out on the field?

Why is it the fielding coach's fault that Liton can't take simple catches and why would anyone expect him to turn Bangladesh into the best fielding side in the world?

The way they're presented, they're actually pretty nonsensical things to say. But when you see a quote like, "Why don't Tamim, Mushy, Riyad stay well?" in reference to Mortaza questioning why Domingo doesn't stand up for the team, it doesn't engender much confidence in the quality of the translation.

Actually I’ve read his original post and the translation is pretty spot on. Historically Mashrafe has been always against foreign coaches getting gigs here. So it’s understandable where he’s coming from but at the same time he shields his mates with rose tinted glass.
