Who is closer in terms of cricketer status, Lara & Tendulkar or Warne & Murali?

Baffles me someone could find over the wrist spin “easier” than flicking the ball with your fingers as you roll it over, but ok
Whilst technically true, this point has zero relevance to bowlers of the quality of Murali and Warne.

Anyone play or watch Starcraft: Brood War?

No one diminishes Kim Taek-Yong (Bisu), in comparison to Lee Jae Dong (Jaedong), just on the basis of OMG BISU PLAY EASY CASUAL RACE PROTOSS, NO SKILL NOOB, JAEDONG TRUE SKILLED ZERG PLAYER!!!!1

Doesn't matter that the vast majority of foreigners (non-Korean), and casual players play Protoss due to it's relative ease of play and lower barrier to entry, everyone acknowledges the greatness of Bisu's accomplishments at the highest level, because the game is fundamentally not broken or imbalanced at the levels he's competing at, and the manual dexterity entry hurdle has long since been cleared by all relevant players of any in game race.

Because flicking it over after over with your fingers is more physically taxing than simple turning your wrist.

I wish I had any idea at all what you’re talking about

Should be adequately strengthened at my age?
Apparently not.

Anyway on an ATG spinner list, like half the top 10 would be leggies so I feel this theory doesn’t bear out. Or maybe all the less talented blokes do off spin cos they can’t do leg spin. Also I object to offspin or left arm orthodox being considered “orthodox”. Rolling my wrist over feels far more natural to me than messing round with your fingers.

For mine, it goes Lara > Murali > Tendulkar > Warne , in terms of mastery of their individual batting and bowling crafts, respectively.
I'm cool with rating Lara highest of the four. But I don't know how you could say he had more mastery than others. If anything I would say he had least mastery of the four. What he had was superb instincts (aka hand eye coordination) and a big heart to make it a personal battle to shine in toughest situations.

Whatever it takes!!!

Spot the guy who has never watched Lara bat.

LoL why so touchy. Are you gonna argue that Lara had more technical perfection/purity than Tendulkar? That's what I take "mastery" to mean.
 no, your post seems to indicate you never actually watched him bat.

"Mastery" is not the same as technical perfection to me. A person who can do something out of the manual and still get the job done, that is the real mastery. ?‍♂

So we are working off of different definitions of "mastery" then. What is this hyperbole "every watched Lara bat"?

As I said you could easily make a case for Lara being the greatest of the four. I wouldn't base it on (my definition of ) mastery however

Edit: If mastery is same as getting job done i.e. performing well, what's the point of introducing the word "mastery". It has to mean something else to be useful.

I dunno... did Einstein or Galileo indicate mastery of their fields to you? Coz they definitely did not go by the book. To me, mastery means being able to do things that others could not, not an ability to follow an established theory/technique.
