Truth be told I actually thought he mightn't be a bad pickup before the tournament started. Boy was I wrong. You could have said the same about Thisara Perera years ago. Not just that they're not/didn't doing/do as well I thought, but being indescribably horrible.

I was really excited for this canes team after the auction, Paris-Ellis-Meredith looked like a solid 3 man pace attack and they had neeshaw-Shabad in the top 7 for extra options. Pair that with a batting lineup of Mcdermott-Jewell-Wade-Shadab/Crawley-David-Asif-Neeshaw which really should be elite in a comp like the BBL and I thought they'de be top 2 contenders. Just had everything go wrong for them.

Ellis been pretty poor by his standards this bbl imo

Well if they didn't **** up matches like the Adelaide one it would be good.

Ellis has been much less effective this year, they don't have a second spinner, and their catching in particular is poor.

And that's without considering Faheem being terrible. Also I'm not sure where they're dredging up Mitch Owen. In his previous appearances he looked miles short of the class and it's hard to believe there isn't a better option out there than him.
