The weather illiteracy is awful. Look at the bloody radar. If they get them on now it saves a good amount of ground drying.Get the ****ing covers on if you're going to be off at least
Just astoundingly inept. And at this point you have to throw the curator in there too because he should be the one screaming at the umps to let him put the covers onThe weather illiteracy is awful. Look at the bloody radar. If they get them on now it saves a good amount of ground drying.
And once again if they had the English style covers about 3/5ths of the ground would be covered in one minute.Oh hey now it's actually raining they're putting the covers on. If only they had oh I don't know half a ****ing hour to get them on early and minimise the risk of water damage and/or seeping around the run ups
Once again the old boys club nature of cricket coverage in this country a big part of it IMO, I cannot think of another cricket playing nation which elevates curators to a pedestal like sage wizards like we do and insulates them from much needed criticism when large blocks of play are lost every summer because of waterlogged outfieldsAnd once again if they had the English style covers about 3/5ths of the ground would be covered in one minute.
Instead they'll faff around for ten to cover 1/5th.
It's such a basic improvement to make for one of the most rain affected grounds in the world. Arrogant know-it-allism seems to be the only obstacle.Once again the old boys club nature of cricket coverage in this country a big part of it IMO, I cannot think of another cricket playing nation which elevates curators to a pedestal like sage wizards like we do and insulates them from much needed criticism when large blocks of play are lost every summer because of waterlogged outfields
