Pant injured in car accident

Terrible when it happens to anyone but especially hard to get around the fact that this is Rishabh Pant we're talking about, arguably the most exciting player of this generation, destined to go down as a great of the Indian game. Glad he survived, hope he makes a full mental and physical recovery, and, in a more selfish vein, that he carries on as before, if and when he chooses to.

Then he's pretty much gravy

I heard it's mainly external injuries like skin abrasions with some minor broken bones like his wrist. He's a lucky man
Well he also has what appears like severe knee and ankle ligament damage. Ofc even then he's extremely extremely lucky, that sounds like a realy horror crash.

The car...Jesus. Just seeing the car and nothing else and you'd genuinely think the worst. Whatever his cricketing future is, I'm so glad that's all we're worried about. Wishing him the quickest and best recovery possible.

Horrible news, and lucky he was exited out of the car as sounds like it burst into flames not long after impact.

Good news re: the brain and spinal results though. They're the two main things you want to hear have been cleared.

what abysmal luck for the young man! to have that happen when he was at the height of his powers as a cricketer! anyway, wish him all the best, hope he recovers fully and can resume his career at some point...

Yeah for someone to get thrown from a single vehicle crash at a high enough speed for a car to catch fire and have the injuries he’s got is incredibly fortunate. Not to downplay them, obviously his recovery will be tough, but it really looks like he’s got out of it comparatively well.

Very few people wear seatbelts in India. Ironically, that might've saved him
