I personally know the guy and was at his wedding in September 2019.

Seeing him bowl recently in T20, he seemed quite threatening and I had a strong feeling he could have some success in Test cricket too but thought he might not be given another chance to prove it.

So happy for him!

Yeah Pakistan should still be in their first innings but I do think day 3 on more experienced spinners of recent times like Yasir, Ashwin, Jadeja, Herath etc would have looked a lot more dangerous than Pakistans newbies and NZ's dubious and/or barely selected dudes.

Day 3 and 4 had a bit in it for the spinners but our top 3 were very good and your spinners aren't your best spinners. Conway/Latham were reading Abrar for fun. Nauman was a little unlucky

Will Jacks got 6. And those include the brain explosions. It spun a bit and prime Yasir Shah would've been a handful but they've still wilted atrociously. You're seriously downplaying how much Pakistan handicapped itself by being 4 down in the first hour when it was still very much flat as a pancake.

If only we had a batsman who was mentally tough and a master of playing spin in these conditions to back Babar. Even better if this was his home ground and he had ~30 FC centuries here.
