They have gone full windies- lost all their great batsmen and unable to replace them, which was the key to Test co-domination(with Australia) during the 90s and 2000s.

It's not so much unable to replace them as it is picking the wrong players to try to replace them. It's only the selectors who think that this is the best batting line up that South Africa can put out.

It's certainly bold, I'll give him that. It does look a bit cloudy and Australian wickets don't really break up so maybe Australia think they can dismiss them on the cheap and make hay when the sun comes out? Dunno.
