The Wheel is Forever
This is why you have to end of someone’s career before making a judgement. And it makes guys like SRT - who still had a 50+ average after TWO HUNDRED Tests truly remarkable. Or even Dravid with 160+ Tests.

that’s not a knock on Kohli, he’d easily make the Indian all time xi but I think he has fallen out of contention for the “number two after Bradman” debate given his decline over the last few years.

Whatever it takes!!!
Great last day set up. Shakib has to be so frustrating. He is clearly head and shoulders above the rest in the BD line up and yet DGAF when he bats.

2 thoughts.

1) Ran the stats filter on Cricinfo and Mehidy averages 19 with the ball in Mirpuir.

2) ACC should bring back Asian Test Championship and incorporate it in the WTC. There's 5 teams now and it would be good exposure for Afghanistan. With all this chatter about Kohli's position in the Test team. It's kinda sad that he along with others never participated in a India / Pakistan Test match.

He was awful today, but Virat will be back.
20 Tests without a Test hundred , three consecutive calendar years averaging under 30 , it should no longer be a question of when he will be back. The question should be who is the next batsman who should be given an opportunity instead of Kohli . It seems nowadays the brand of the cricketer is more important than the performances.

Its a shame but yeah I suspect he is finished.

I always liked him as I do think when he talks about his affection for test cricket he is sincere I do fear that with the much younger generation is that love for the format their? They may say all the right things but would they rather be playing some t10 muck in Abu Dhabi then a test match?

Kohli will score atleast four tons in the BG trophy including a double

Frankly even if he does get his form back, I'm now questioning whether it'd even be worth it considering three years of absolute rubbish. He has to have a 3-4 year golden run to make up for this extended slump, which seems extremely unlikely.
