Yeah he definitely shouldn't ever bat top 3 again but I'd like to see him given a proper crack at 4. If he could produce the same numbers as he does at 5 it'd be even better for the team. If it doesn't then he can go back down, like what happened with Michael Clarke.

If Shakib is going to bowl lots he should bat 6 IMO. Mushfiqur isn't keeping anymore so if one of them had to pushed up today I'd rather it be him.

Shakib's not even out yet though so I may totally taste this.

Liton hardly batted at top 4 in tests iirc. The reason he was batting lower because he came in as a keeper too. Now that Sohan is in the team, think he can move up. Mushfiq at 6 is too low in tests for him.

Pitch has good bounce for the pacers but some turn already for the spinners. As the days progress, think it will be much handy for the spinners. Dropping kuldeep was a mistake imo.

If liton bats lower than 4 then he should keep in place of nurul and Moses/ Saifuddin can be slotted in. Saifuddin staying injured most of the time not helping the cause

Swap Litton and Mushfiqur if the former at #4 doesn't work out.

Do you think Nurul hold his place if Liton bats lower than 4? Liton def coming in 6 if he does not bat at 4. Mushfiq is a top 5 batsman.

The other issue is that Liton seems to make a lot more runs when he's kept in the same match. Which is counterintuitive but it seems to be true. I do like Nurul though.

I think Nurul has been sneaky good in improving his general batting, even if it hasn't shown up in Tests yet. Even if he wasn't keeping I think he'd be in the conversation with Moses and Yasir for the best specialist 7, so I'd definitely keep him.

Liton seems like the type of guy who will play better as captain. If Shakib DGAF about tests, they should just make Litton the permanent captain for tests and start forming their team without Shakib.
