Stumped!

I've hit a real stumbling block with Sampath Ramalingam. 12/15/17 bowler with a max speed of 149.5 kmph. Yet he finished Season 32 with a bowling average of 81 and an econ of 7.6 in competitive SOD games! Fared better in Friendly SODs with an average of 35 and an econ of 5.3!

Usually throws down a decent BQ (#BQDoesNotMatter), but I feel bowling in the powerplay or even within the first 20-25 overs with attacking fields just sees him bleed so many runs due to his relatively low accuracy.

He's been good in T20s and got 5/16 in a T20I for Sri Lanka recently, so no issues there. Perhaps I need to be using him more heavily in the death overs, but then that really only leaves me with two new-ball seamers in Ghani and Bashir, since Ahsan is also quite a death overs specialist.

Tricky scenario. Got taken apart for 96 runs in 10 overs vs GG CC today, despite a BQ of 7.6. Just can't seem to build any pressure.

Should the new season update have run today? Cant see anything on the Stumped forums about the new season update & wondered if any of you guys were in the know :)

We got over the line at the end.
A win by 2 wickets.
I was impressed by our openers. This was the first time that they have batted together. Usually, I'd alternate either one of them with Uzair, but he is no longer U-21...so had to go with these two.

So far, so good.

Good performance by your kids. 202 was actually a bit below par tbh, we needed to kick on to a bigger score but couldn't manage it.

I can see next season's fixtures but it seems like some EOS updates have not run yet. Probably needs to be done manually.

(His econ was only 5 - less horrid but still a bit high!) Looking at the GG game, here's my advice.

He was bowling three spells - with 15 stamina that can comfortably be condensed down to two spells. Just looking at his skill distribution, that should probably be one spell late powerplay (first/second change) and one spell at the death. I think his spells were generally too early also; variation-inclined bowlers do seem to leak runs bowling too early so there's that. As to the incredible lack of wickets, eh luck?

For the BQ explanation, 9 out of 10 overs Samps was bowling directly after Chester or Ahsan, who both had BQs lower, in the 5s. The lack of pressure through these bad balls meant Ramalingam could get taken to, in the Stumped world. Unlucky there I reckon - but have a look at your orders, splice them up and test them, and see if he records better figures (even though #FiguresDoNotMatter)

Good game for Halliday I see, not required to bat and drops two catches: one a dolly, one off Sutherland on 24!

Saw Arthur Branning on the TM again, placed a bid on him (GG CC)

Hope he joins our team, GG CC are currently ranked 41st in the world and having a guy like Branning might push us up even some more.

Looking at this potential batting order should he be in the squad:

1. Mandhatri
2. Bram Human
3. Peter Sutherland
4. Sanigepalli (+)
5. Tindall
6. Oxley (capt)
7. Branning
8. Xenos
9. Meyappan
10. Ijaz
11. Ismail (spin) OR Dauntsey (pace)

Yesss, he's someone who I've thought would fit into GG really well.

Really impressive from AX-W as they cruise to a T20 win over full-strength AXI - despite John Ward's 2 (17). Fab stuff from Picton and also Clacey, who I might have to reconsider soon letting go of.
