Yet another game where 300 was scored by Mooo.

They have been whipping GG’s behind for the past few games.

Just seem to find no answers to this. Branning’s debut was not good. He only made 2 and took a catch. I expect him to fire in today’s second game. Which starts in about an hour and 15 minutes time.

A strong start from GG CC so far

103/0 after 18 overs, with Mandhatri on 54(60) and Bram Human on 44(50)

Conditions suck for the bowlers:

97 wind
83 cloud

That RRR is too much for Winton CC at the moment

Meanwhile, GG CC are 288/4 in the 43rd over

Arthur Branning just got into the middle and he’s 11(5) with 2x4

The CWC6 Final well and truly underway. The Wild Geese have posted a daunting 298/5 from their 40 overs giving us a steep hill to climb. We've started decently in the chase though - Winton CC 94/0 after 13 overs
Congrats @Charlie B on The Wild Geese winning CWC6 - your batting innings proved decisive. After us slipping away after a good opening stand I'm slightly surprised we took the game as close as we did from 155/7.

In the other final, Mooo v Ataraxia.

Ataraxia are off to a good start but have lost 2 wickets...both openers gone. Saadi for 7 (12) and Zahid for 36 (38).

Jamil Gul and Henton with a wicket a piece.

The score is 72/2 after 15 overs.

Thank you JoJo and to everyone else who shared congratulations- my 2 teams and JoJOs have been chasing each other aroundf all season in the CWC and OD T20 and DEVs - winning some , losing some ... I thought Jura would be my best hope for the CWC but then they ran out of puff at the wrong time as players started hitting 22 just before the league games finished - then Jura took a beating from Winton in the last league match and , although putting in a better performance in the Semis were knocked out by them again then as well.....

I hoped yesterday 295 on the board from Geese would be overwhelming , and it seemed that way when Winton went down to over 140 odd behind with 3 wickets to fall, then they kept blazing away and leaving a possible win scenario until finally no.11 succumbed after making it a thrilling end .......would have given it up for an England win in the WC footy though :wallbash:

Thanks to the organisers of the comp and all of you who scratch your heads and select a team so we all have something to moan, ponder and enjoy! every week!!

14 teams so far

@honestbharani will you be setting up a new team? the more teams the merrier.

@Magrat Garlick will you be joining CWC7 - see its been a while since you've been active with Dynamo Morpork

Any new players wishing to join are also more than welcome to!

Any cautious ideas if we do end up with 14 teams?

2 groups of 5 and 1 group of 4 - based on seedings with affiliates avoiding each other when possible? Top 2 in each group and best 3rd placed side go to top div, other sides to 2nd div.

Home and away format for both league phases. 2 matches a week for both league phases. Same semi-finals (1st v 4th, 2nd v 3rd) as last time.

with 15 teams, 3 groups of 5 and 2 best 3rd place sides in top div, other 7 with an affiliate in 2nd div.

with 16 teams, 4 groups of 4 like CWC6?

Hoping we can start signs up in about a week and have Stumped generating games over Christmas with a start just after Christmas.
