More I think that the rather disastrous Australia tour might have got it through his thick skull that he needs to be as fit as possible. No reason he couldn't have done well here if he was fit, especially on the pitches that series.

i think that he's the sort of bowler who'd generally struggle here (english, reliant more on lateral movement and guile than other factors)
