In your heart, you already knew this to be true.I've learnt that Jadeja is better than Sobers and Bradman.
Deep down, everybody knows.

Don't change your opinion about Kallis, despite the crap he receives here, still a legend in his own right.Cleared many misconceptions about players.
Appreciate Imran, Sachin, Hadlee, Donald, Lilee, Hobbs, Waugh, Chappel, Steyn, Gavaskar more(regard first 3 to be amongst the 10 or so greatest players). Appreciate Ponting, Dravid, Inzamam less. Complete change of opinion about Kallis.
don’t dislike him, just don’t think he’s the best cricketer ever(or among the top dozen or so), or the second best all rounder after SobersDon't change your opinion about Kallis, despite the crap he receives here, still a legend in his own right.
Taibu > WadeI was explained that Taibu does in fact have a head.
He's definitely amongst the top dozen imo.don’t dislike him, just don’t think he’s the best cricketer ever(or among the top dozen or so), or the second best all rounder after Sobers
I also learnt the term 'Spark'd' to cover moments like this on CWNah he's definitely not Sobers and comparisons with him are unwarranted beyond the fact that they're both loosely batting all rounders. Similar role but Sobers is a better batsman and a much better bowler. Bowled a lot more and didn't have the same limitations in batting. Sobers is only slightly less of an upgrade over Kallis than Kallis is over Ted Dexter et al. Kallis over Sobers is based on one completely meaningless and pointless stat really.
I had Kallis in my top 15 batters of all time so I'm not underrating his batting but he's definitely not Sobers.
Personal top 12:He's definitely amongst the top dozen imo.
Imran and Sobers both better allrounders though.
Add Gilchrist to thatPersonal top 12:
Bradman, Sobers, Tendulkar, Imran, Marshall, Warne, McGrath, Viv, Hobbs, Lara, Murali, Barnes
Kallis was one of the best test bats of his generation(though behind Lara, Tendulkar, Ponting and Waugh). But making a top 20 list for greatest batsmen without Kallis is justifiable. Not that anyone asked but I'll elaborate. Kallis is a very valuable and unique cricketer from a utilitarian perspective. ATG batsman + proper fifth bowler is a gun combo for team balance and flexibility. But his all round credentials are vastly overstated. What's his best series with bat and ball? Or year? Once you account for minnow bashing, his bowling is closer to the lower threshold for all rounder. Sure, aggregates count for something and I'm not saying he's not an ATG but surely actually performing as an all rounder is the primary criteria to rate all rounders on. I say that in terms of great performances, consistency, impact and such. He was a unique cricketer that SA still haven't managed to replace but yeah. It's very strange that people both genuinely think he's not in the top 20 batters of all time or that he's comparable to Kasprowicz as a bowler. Both statements **** with my head.

Bradman, Tendulkar, Sobers, Viv, Hobbs, Lara, Smith, Hutton, Headley, Hammond, Gavaskar, Hammond, Sutcliffe, Border, Ponting, S Waugh, G Chappel, Pollock, Miandad, Barrington.
Not for me. Sangakkara’s home/away is seriously not good. Low average in Ind, South Africa, Wi and just abt average in Eng. Averages 60 in Aus, but only played 5 tests there only. Has scored truckload of runs against Bangladesh and Zim. Also scored many of his runs against a Pak attack, which barring Ajmal, was a joke. Plus played in one of the best eras of batting. And Sangakkara
