What is funnier is the ODI team selected for the BD tour. For some reason Patidar is there in that one but not in the series in NZ. Same with Rahul Tripathi.

Chetan Sharma said no one asked for any rest and it was the selectors' decision to rotate the squad. Hardik missing is stupid. Let him only bowl five overs per game if his workload is to be managed. He is good enough at 6 and we should never ever go with only five bowlers again in any international match after being proved time and again that it never works

BD tour starts 3 days after the final ODI in NZ... Ridiculous scheduling but that's what u get with BCCI.
I actually like the pace attack for NZ tour. Will be a sight to watch both Sen & Umran steaming in bowling 150kph in Eden Park.

Not to bothered about Vihari been excluded, he Sarfaraz Khan been excluded is very harsh. Uthappa made the point on cricinfo, bloated squads are common when it comes to international cricket at least sitting on the bench would be a small reward for what has been insane numbers.
Their has to be some sort of reward for putting up Bradman type numbers in domestic cricket ffs.

So out of this T20I squad we have

Pant - single digit scores in both matches he played
Hardik - barring one key performance, poor with the bat otherwise and okay with the ball
Hooda - looked clueless in the one match he played and was equally clueless before that in big games
SKY - glorious
Chahal - was terrible prior to the tournament and didn't play a single match in it
Arshdeep - find of the tournament, also glorious
Harshal - was poor prior to the tournament and didn't play a single match in it
Siraj - standby, not a good t20 bowler even before
Bhuvi - couple of good matches but progressively got worse and peaked in the semis

Indian cricket in a great spot indeed with their selections

No need to be this negative. In T20 anything can happen. We need few changes and would be contender again. If certain players are dropped permanently after this debacle , it would do our team good
