Cummins is like Bumrah, while Bumrah is like Cummins.
Agree with the former, think you're way off on the latter though.Cummins is like Bumrah, while Bumrah is like Cummins.
Better on quality lolBumrah is the better bowler on quality even though Cummins has done better than him over his career so far.
He was imitating saltshakerz' own post from another thread.Better on quality lol
There's perfect rhythm and logic to Bumrah's bowling. Take a piece out and he falls apart.Bumrah starts his runup with both hands clasping the ball awkwardly and arms swaying back and forth, and then into his delivery his arms go up stiffly like he is a GI Joe action figure, and then the release is this weird flick from his wrists. Really ungainly.
Compare that to Cummins, who has a classic, balanced, athletic bowling run up and clean, no-nonsense front-on delivery and follow through.
30 wickets a year isn't very manyThe interesting thing is that both Cummins and Bumrah are around 29 years old.
If Bumrah takes around 30 wickets or so a year, he will be around 34 before he can take 300 wickets and join the elite. His pace would be mostly gone by then. That assumes he doesn't get injured and doesnt suffer a loss of form. Cummins by comparison has a headstart and is simply more fit.
So Cummins seems much more likely to have a better career.
That's roughly his average so far so based on that.30 wickets a year isn't very many
I remember Imran Khan saying he wasn't popular with girls before he got famous.Mushtaq Mohammad was allegedly 15 when he made his debut so would be a candidate to be pure. Not that I’m an expert on 1950’s Pakistan culture.
I think Derek Pringle was 24, and a certainty.
Nothing has changed.I'll leave the debate on the first to others but I'm pretty confident in saying that Cummins will have the better career for the simple reason that he'll be on the park more reliably.
EDIT: Considering Tests only, ofc, as is convention. Not much of a conversation as far as LO stuff goes.
