No.. Street fight.Sobers bowling Akram batting?
McGrath wins this. One thing that I've learned after following Warne and McGrath for almost their entire careers is that a batsman should never play the waiting game against them. England for example were overly cautious against Warne and complicated their game unnecessarily.Gavaskar Vs Mcgrath
It won't be this easy at all. The margin for error in McGrath's bowling is equivalent to precision you find in German engineering, you simply cannot play your shots with so much freedom.Something like this
Unless you're Abdul Razzaq for some reasonIt won't be this easy at all. The margin for error in McGrath's bowling is equivalent to precision you find in German engineering, you simply cannot play your shots with so much freedom.
Hadlee was similar to McGrath though. And it's not like McGrath was never taken apart at times. It won't be this easy at all. The margin for error in McGrath's bowling is equivalent to precision you find in German engineering, you simply cannot play your shots with so much freedom.
Sehwag would have destroyed Ajmal IMO.Sehwag of 2008/09 against peak Ajmal of 2012 in UAE conditions.
Yeah Mohd Asif said something similar about why he preferred bowling to Dravid than Sehwag, since Dravid let him get in a rhythm.McGrath wins this. Same can be said for McGrath, Dravid picked the wrong bowler to play the waiting game against and often got out to him.

Hadlee was more like peak James Anderson in bowling style, McGrath was more like a less intense and more sophisticated/polished version of Ambrose.Hadlee was similar to McGrath though. And it's not like McGrath was never taken apart at times.
Though I do feel that there was a lack of ultra-aggressive bats against McGrath generally in his career. Tendulkar, Lara, Anwar and a few others did well but someone like Ponting or Viv I think would have well and truly got on top of McGrath.
And I've grown tired of him being labelled brave for not wearing a helmet. This isn't mma guys...https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...-vs-west-indies-3rd-test-63459/full-scorecard
So I had to look up the scorecard and lo and behold Hadlee took 9 for the match and was MOM while that "demolition" of Hadlee by Viv resulted in a quick fire 38
I'm sorry but Viv really is so overrated. I get such moderate upgrade on Maxwell vibes from him
Like, the facts are that he had the swagger, he had style, he had the ability to get on top of briefly and potentially ruin a bowlers confidence, while looking like a million bucks when getting them out of the middle of the bat.
but his rate of hundreds and test output post 70s really do nothing to warrant the reputation he gets. Like for all the highlights of him hitting sixes there are probably several lowlights of him throwing his wicket away when he should have gone on with it. The gaslighting needs to stop with him
Or Even Akram.Unless you're Abdul Razzaq for some reason
Dravid is not Gavaskar.McGrath wins this. One thing that I've learned after following Warne and McGrath for almost their entire careers is that a batsman should never play the waiting game against them. England for example were overly cautious against Warne and complicated their game unnecessarily.
