*Official* New Zealand in Australia 2022

Any chance Ben Sears plays?

Heard an interview with Devon Conway and he reckons he’s the quickest in New Zealand, and quite possibly the world. Can imagine this New Zealand set up would be the only one in the world that wouldn’t play someone like that in Australia ?‍♂
Well if he's the quickest in NZ he's the quickest in the world too, because (excluding Sears for a sec), Ferguson is the quickest in the world at the moment.

NZ having the two quickest bowlers in the world would be a bit unusual for sure - It'd make it all the more sad that one looks set to retire with just one underdone Test and NZ seem pretty disinterested in playing the other even in JAMLOIs.

but then the coaches children couldn't play and we wouldn't want to challenge the narrative we're plucky little kiwis with no depth would we? people might actually expect overseas results then if we had some talented young reserves to work with.

Looks like the wind's blowing towards the shorter side; could be a few massive overs here.

Don't mind the slow start if they manage to see these two off. They haven' given much away.

EDIT: Well...great catch

Another waste of an innings from Guptill. Feels like when he doesn't fire, he just eats up balls for nothing.

Feels like most NZ white ball innings vs Australia in recent years have started with the top order tentative and cautious, before losing wickets anyway.

That was a poor innings from Guptill - becalmed and then finally half-tries to manufacture something and gets out.
