Bit like an early-00s Kenya lineup. Most of their bowlers batted top 7Munyonga is pretty useless as a player but I do kind of like the idea of a longer batting lineup anyway. When you have Williams, Sikanda, Wes and and Burl in the top seven you don't need four 'real' bowlers. Jongwe only bowled one over last game and Williams wasn't even playing.
lmao they used to have specialist #10 and #11 batsmen at times, so goodBit like an early-00s Kenya lineup. Most of their bowlers batted top 7
Maybe I should post that in the 'players who didn't contribute' thread. It looked as if Kenyan seamer Lameck Onyango was destined to be one of international cricket's less successful performers. In five one-day internationals between 1995-96 and 2002 he took one wicket for 130, all the while conceding runs at the startling rate of 9.62 per over. A bizarre metamorphosis then occurred. By the time of the ICC Trophy in 1997, Onyango had been assigned a new role: specialist tail-ender. He played in four matches and did not bowl in any of them, batting down the order except for one match in which he was promoted to No. 2. Not quite mastering the art of pinch-hitting, he compiled a boundary-less 25-ball 13. He was surprisingly recalled to face Australia in September 2002, this time as a specialist No. 11 - and again he didn't bowl.
The other blokes in the side aren't really ODI #4s either tbf. Would've been cool to see Green bat there I guess.Don't get why the selectors keep trying to push Carey up the order. His best efforts have always come at 6/7.
Yeah fair call. Greens position domestically and for AUS A is 4, but I assume that's what the latter part of the comment is for.The other blokes in the side aren't really ODI #4s either tbf. Would've been cool to see Green bat there I guess.
Played five matches for Kenya in December 2019 after a six-year hiatus, interestingly. Was 46.Lameck Onyango WAG.

Green is in the side as an all-rounder at 6 rather than a specialist bowler at 8, probably just managing his workload.I they giving Stoinis a bowl because they feel sorry for him?
Please don't tell me Green is hurt
He must have mates on the board or somethingPlayed five matches for Kenya in December 2019 after a six-year hiatus, interestingly. Was 46.
He was actually a decent contributor as a bowler for a while after all Kenya's best players retired. The earlier selections and that last recall were bizarre though. He must have mates on the board or something
