I think it'll probably work in favour of the smaller teams. I was chatting to a Leeds fan after their game on Sunday about whether they'll fall apart mid-season playing at that intensity, and it's plausible that not one of their players has a knockout game. Some of those lower half teams will basically get a four week winter break.

The little I've seen of Gordon reminds me of someone's description of another player many years ago; 'busy, skilful and lively but generally useless'. Maybe that's a bit harsh, but how much does Gordon actually deliver? It's a lot of money to pay for someone to play for your reserves.
It's a fair description but he's only 21 and Tuchel is a positional coach. Turning pace, energy, and technical ability into an end product is exactly what he's there for.

He's bloody quick but so is Traore at Wolves and he delivers nothing. I genuinely can't see why a club would pay that much for a player with one season behind him. If I was Lampard I'd drive him to London and take a Chelsea youngster back with me.
