This is just what we needed. 130 was starting to look within reach there.

EDIT: Again!

After how well our spinners bowled, it'll be interesting to see what happens with Ecclestone here.

England have been below par this whole tournament. Poor batting performance from them.
They are in a transformation phase. Too many youngsters coming in at a time. Plus Brunt will retire soon making it tougher for them to compete at the top level for next couple of years.

Jeez, Bates didn't need to dance down the pitch like that after hitting those two great boundaries. Lucky not to be stumped.

I'm not sure that's an excuse today - NZ has at least as many young and inexperienced players as England.

Just seems like England haven't turned up for the bronze medal match today.

Definitely below par today by their standards. But I was refering to their tournament form in general.

I think they’ve tried too many things that haven’t quite worked out. Ecclestone opening the bowling is just a weird call to me and Dunkley hasn’t quite fired this tournament.

Their team balance is a bit off with youngsters coming in and batting at key positions (3 and 6). Plus not having Dean in the squad is really odd considering her style of bowling.

Shocking performances in tournament.surely Beaumont is better than some of the batters..wyatt never performs but keeps getting picked.Sciver very poor captain and her bowling has gone to pot.We do miss Knight .Some of the youngsters learning of their deficiencies in a hard lesson.

What's worse than Ecclestone opening the bowling is to see Capsey being given the second over against India. That was a shocking move imo.

Agree with Sciver being a poor captain. She’s completely messed up the bowling order and is just going with whatever she feels like from the looks of it.
