Smart bowling from Joseph too. Bowls short for a few deliveries and then slips in a quick fuller one to Iyer. He’ll have to start watching out for bowlers doing that to him too alongside just the short fare from now and that is why I believe he cannot be a part of the first team until he has all these issues rectified. He is just too broken to be relies on

His ability to adjust to a variation from a bowler is somewhat lagging.
All I know about him is that he loves spin bowling, and hates the short-pitched ball

We do have a 50 over domestic tournament. Under Shastri until the previous t20 world cup the preference order was domestic cricket -> IPL -> India A -> India. Test specialists didn’t have to go through the ipl cycle either. Now I have no idea of what the basis is for selection as everyone seems to get a callup these days
