Bracewell... hats off. Whatever happened there? Unbelievable stuff. So we found a dhoni for NZ. He can play as a pure batsman much higher.

Apart from Bracewell and maybe one or two other players were pretty clueless.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Brilliant from macewell today but this is still Ireland in a JAMODI. All credit to him though, fantastic knock. If he can keep this up against higher level teams, he's on that flight to india for sure next year. I'm guessing he probably already had made the t20 squad for aus wc this year, based on how much stead and co believe in him.

Tickner yeah. Henry down on pace today. Hmm.
This has always been the case for him post 2016. He bowls with decent pace one match and trundles in for the next 10. Not sure what the issue is...fit guy, has a robust action unlike southee and boult, doesn't get injured often, and he does play enough cricket (domestic nz and eng) so i'm sure his rythm isn't exactly trash. I'm sure that he also realizes that he is at his deadliest bowling 138 km + ....and he definitely can't afford to slip up cuz he ain't Teflon like southee and boult. His spot can be taken jussst like that. Also, greatest thing for me personally was watching lockie with the new ball, and moving it at high pace. Now that's exciting. Alongside boult, I recognize him as our best bowler, and truly world class. We are fortunate to have him. Get sears mingling with Lockie more often in camps, tours, series etc... what an example he is for young searsy to follow.

Not sure what to make of milne now, doesn't take wickets, loses the plot in big matches, seems to be the most un-intimidating 90mph bowler of all time. Doesn't hit 150 anymore and his durability remains undurable 12 years into the career. I just hope he has a media gig lined up after cricket.

How's this Tector bloke seems to have a decent record aswell any chance Ingerlund might come poaching and then he leads them to world cup glory in year 2035.

Well that seals Macewell in the team (probably the test team as well - the selectors love to confuse a performance in one format with another)

No matter the quality of the bowling (which from reports wasn’t great in the last ten), that’s a heck of an innings when you have scoreboard pressure and Henry, Ferg, and Tickner for company.

It's just hard to tell what the thinking will be for the ODI side, because it really is (all of a sudden) such a low priority for NZC. Even lower than test cricket - and that’s saying something. If you’d said after that super over in WC2019 that over the next couple of years we’d get the ODI program we’ve had… well. What’s the point almost?

But I’d be happy to give Macewell a go in the middle order, and lose Nicholls. Never been convinced that Nicholls is the answer in white ball cricket. I wish they’d given Worker more of a go TBH.

So maybe it’s something like -

Guptill
Young/Worker
Kane
Mitchell
Phillips/Chapman/Bruce
Latham/Fletcher/Cleaver (I don’t think Latham is the answer, but I don’t see him getting dropped)
Macewell
Santner
Boult
Ferg
Henry/Southee/Milne

That’s pretty tough to try and pick a team isn’t it? It’s now LOLODI.

One article I read reckoned this was the most ever runs in the last over of an ODI to win, another reckoned it was when NMac played NazBall against Herath
