Stumped!

First official game against another CW member today, Dynamo Morpork @Magrat Garlick, conflicting emotions. Also have some conditioning problems, so not my strongest development team today. Still hoping for a win though!

TNT have already lost, tough game for them with the 'superstar' getting his highest score and winning the opposition the game. I am really starting to dislike that trait....

Apparently, Reid does not likely being the second choice opener in the TMOs and has decided to prove a point and go on a tear against the Dynamo Morporks...

So pretty impressive total put up by the TMOs today... could not asked for more either in performance or IGT. See if the depleted bowling unit can defend, hopefully.

... first wicket down!

Turned into a tough game for the Morpork... but great performance from the TMOs, happy to be top of the standings. Getting put into 2nd div development has been a god send money wise. Lucky to be there and if I got into 1st next season would be a very happy manager!

3rd round cup match does not look promising, against the Welsh Wizards. At least its at home and get to make some more monies. Always hope for an upset!

I guess that with the Cup exit, the time is fast approaching to say goodbye to two AXI legends, Daniel Rowan and Howell Brown. They are planned to be available for two more competitive games and two more CWC games after this match vs Morpork.

Howell Brown, the 30yo former Zimbabwe quick, has played for AXI since December last year. Player of the Season for S30, he has 272 wickets at 16.82. Across his career, he has been a consistent wicket-taker at the death, but lately he has shown signs of decline. Howell's batting has occasionally been helpful, and his arm has led to numerous run outs.

Daniel Rowan, 28, has been a staple of the AXI middle order since he migrated from Morpork in November. A fluent run-scorer, Rowan has also been a key component of the AXI fielding ring. Unlike previous AXI senior bats, he has scored at a very decent strike rate, averaging 38 and striking 90 in one-day games. Missing him in the T20 rn,

Scraped through in the end there thanks to classic Ludlow hax batting against Morpork. Thanks for the game Magrat, though not a great performance from the top order, bar Rusty I guess.

Another difficulty I`m having for the first time with TNT is my wk, he (they) are not one of my top 6 (potential) bats... thus my allrounder and/or extra bowler position is under scrutiny and not quite sure what to do. Need a 45+ batting wk! Is that so much to ask!

ZCC's academy has produced **** all for ages now. No funds to win any bidding wars either. Going to be a hard few seasons...

Big NRR boosts all around in Round 2 of Group A in CWC5 today!

TBI's Abdul Salman joins the CWC5 century club with a thumping 105 off jut 47 balls vs AX-W, while his teammate Sam Ellery just narrowly misses out with 98 off 50. The Astronauts and Morpork both romp home in low runchases after solid bowling efforts, while JCC win by 69 runs despite a highest individual score of just 28! A real bunsen of a pitch over there at The Nets. ZCC with the 'bye' this round, fielding essentially a 2nd XI vs the bot. Raun Shkorer adding 72* to his tally and taking his first ever T20 wicket to boot!

I don't know if anyone has done this before, but I was thinking last night after Michael Winton went for a duck off the bowling of Jamil Gul...he was a former Moo CC player. How many players are out there in CW teams that were part of a fellow CW team?

I have...

Michael Winton (Moo CC) to Ataraxia CC
Richard McCormack (Dynamo Morpork) to Mooo CC
Keith Tindall (Moo CC) to GG CC
Mark Jardine (GG CC) to Moo CC
Aat Bernstein (GG CC) to Moo CC
Asanka Arasaratnam (Moo CC) to GG CC
Just realized Jeroen Coetzee (of TMOs) started at FHK... don't think he ever played at the club though.

Haha yup, was one of many gun YPs we got early. Let him go because we just couldn't fit him in our training plans

Door's always open for him to return! ;)
