I think at this rate they'll finish Young off. Credit to Anderson for a great ball but Young is a free following batsman and opening with him is a bit of disservice to a good solid middle order bat. I'm starting to hate this unnecessary shuffle of batting order every other series.

No man Rutherford won't be any better. He's a bit of a struggle alright against moving ball and short ball has put him out of the game few times as well. Might as well use Conway if he's not going to bat at 3

Still don't really understand why Conway didn't keep the opening role after his debut double ton in that position. I guess he missed the tour to India through injury so Young had to open but since then he could have slotted back there.

Yeah don't have much expectation from Rutherford 2.0, more in terms of the opportunity cost of Young's middle order runs. You'd get more from him (Young) than Mitchell at 5 surely?

I truly think Ravindra is the go to guy. They're just messing around with him too.

Now they can do nothing about it. Hoping they'll do something about the opening spot but seeing how Gary has gone about so far he'll probably pick Mitchell to open and drop Young.
