Must be a truly surreal experience for Parkinson, making your debut as a concussion substitute. No time to really think too much about the game, you're roped in after it started. In some ways it might be quite a good way to start.

England finish with 141-10 in 42.5 overs, taking a lead of 9. Hopefully the comedy batting performance stops in the 3rd and 4th innings for both teams' sake.

9 run deficit. Can't complain. The way we batted in the 1st innings I would've taken 109.

Now time for some boring sedate test cricket from our openers. Heaps of time.

If Parkinson is truly committed to being part of Baz's England team, he should concuss himself while fielding too.
