I forgot about the double Dev fixture vs @StephenZA this morning.

TMO won the dead rubber, but may I attract attention away from AXI's fairly dismal performance (first time cracking 50K in Dev though)?

In the affiliate's series decider, Robin Warwick (63 off 46) helped us to a good total that we were confident defending. Sure enough, TNT quickly collapsed to 108-7 chasing 228-7. They won. A couple of 17 skill bats scored 40+, then this guy scored 10 (9). Yes, playing one of all of the five shot types in his short stay. Wow.

AXI beat TMO 2–1
TNT beat AXW 2–1
Was disappointed with the TMOs performance in the SOD game but overall a pretty good series. TNT got very lucky in that last game, I think Wellington dropped like 7 catches in that match... but the TNT team starting to take shape... still short of some genuinely good batsmen but that will take time.

Thanks for the series Stephen, and a shout out to Anthony Davidson!
He is starting to find his place but need him to get to the 3 figure marks. But every time I move him up the order tends to not do as well, so will stick with him at 5 for now. Was very irritated when nobody could get him on strike for the last over in yesterdays match...

Thanks for the games!

I'd go

Zosongo
Azam
Cookson
Bennett
Kudesia
Yeluri
Bilal
Goonerwardene

Dunnow what kinda bowling workloads you have on them, so that 5-8 can change accordingly, but that top 4 seems solid. High stam/SS/defence guys to lay the platform with more balanced/aggressive guys to finish. Bilal could probably bat 5, depends how late you want him coming in, i've hid him behind Kudesia and Yeluri to give you proper death over hitting.

My opinion would be something like:
Yeluri
Azam
Cookson
Zosongo
Bennett
Bilal
Goonerwardene

High stamina good SS/Def upfront... with the better players in middle order and ending with low stam and good SS, high Att at end. Experience also players a role. One of the reasons I have dropped Kock down to 6 in my batting order is that he is naturally aggressive but also he has one of the highest exp and tends to handle the lower order batting pressure better. But his actual attack skill is lower than some others in my batting lineup. He is my Dhoni! And I try alternate experience with inexperience.

Both Yeluri and Kudesia bowl 10.

Last match I had
Zosongo
Azam
Cookson
Yeluri
Bennett
Bilal
Goonerwardene
Kudesia

So not too far off. Just maybe not utilising Kudesia as well as I ought to

This is even closer but just swap Zosongo and Yeluri. I just wasn’t sure how I felt but 3 RHS being followed by 4 LHA

That's just an initial reaction, thought Azam rather surplus to requirements here but his record's damn fine. (Yeluri should probs bat top 3 or bat 7 to below IMO, otherwise what you've got seems fine)

so I know Yeluri is an allrounder and it's why I'd be hesitant to bat him in the Top 5. If he's bowled 10 overs and then has to come in to bat he'll be struggling for fitness. If he bats top order and scores a ton then his 10 overs of bowling will be affected. And even if he can perform to a decent standard, his fitness will be shot by the end of the game.

Hi, what is the minimum amount of notice you'd need to sort out squads for CW opening fixtures?

I ask this because there are still no options to generate fixtures and I'm about to head to sleep. Not sure at which point the option to generate fixtures will be there but given that Group A starts at 9am on Wednesday time its worth asking. And then if the option to generate fixtures arises after the minimum amount of notice that people want I'll wait until after the start times for the first fixtures and generate fixtures and hope that just pushes everything back a few days.

@cnerd123 - of course dependant on what answer is but if you are on Stumped and the option to generate fixtures is there feel free to do that on your end.

I remember last time I ran this I had similar issues. I had everything ready to go, but no button to click to make it happen. Hopefully it goes ahead and automatically generates the fixtures tomorrow. I'll keep checking to see if it happens, have followed up on the PM chain to R0b as well.

Tsungirai Meyiwa has just broken the record for the highest individual score in Dev cricket for Moo CC.

He made 157 (102 balls) with 16x4 and 4x6

The previous record was 121, also by him, but that was in the DEV league...

This 157 is in DEV friendly, against the TNTs
