I agree.Victor Trumper
Not just because I want him to be next in line, but because in the list of top 50 batsmen he actually was next in line, and I appear to be the only person who doesn't want to render that list pointless barely a week after it was finished.
Yeah I meant to vote for him before Geoffrey, but didn't.Surely he's at least better than Boycott or doesn't get in at all
Perhaps, but the order of the openers within that list would be fairly set. Interestingly that order is replicated in the top 5 already voted and, with the exception of Grace, all those curently nominated are from the 11 in the list.I think that it was a bad idea to include MOBs with openers in that list.
Simpson
Only if we have a different voting demographic .... or there is some mind-changing. I'm looking forward to see who makes it after the 11 named. The order's going to differ from now on (likely)
.... and yet Greenidge rates extremely highly.
Usman K is much better than all of them
Ok, I'll push back on this a bit. Trumper is a different case to the others in this list. He averaged 39 overall but only 32 as an opener (averaged 49 batting 3 or lower). So there's actually a good argument to be made that he should be lower on a list of openers than on a list of batsmen.Victor Trumper

Yeah, fair play. You son of a gun, you.Ok, I'll push back on this a bit. Trumper is a different case to the others in this list.
