Disagree. Other than his first series in 2013-14 where he was an undeveloped player, forced to play as opener against the best bowling performance in the history of cricket (Johnson), he averages about 50 in Australia. On balance he's played on much more bowler-friendly wickets on his tours to Aus, and against better bowling, than Williamson has too. Willamson's managed to come to Aus when we've had some of the flattest pitches known to mankind. I can't speak much about either of their efforts in other places but I've seen all their games in Aus and Root has been more impressive all things considered, if only slightly. At the moment Root has had the better career for sure, but I’m pretty sure Williamson will fix his away record and surpass Root by the end of his career. Root’s performances in Australia are a huge hole in his record, but outside of that he’s been great.
Good to see the selective away record argument is back
The duality of "stats don't tell the full story"Disagree. You can't just look at basic stats and think they tell the whole story

On ya sonApart from the 2015 road tour, on pitches so flat they sent Mitchell Johnson into retirement, KW averages 16 in Australia lol
I've seen all both their innings here, and Root has been definitively better than KW in Aus
Oh yeah I agree and think he’s been unlucky that he hasn’t got to tour Australia against one of their weaker attacks around 2015 pre Cummins and peak Hazlewood and when Johnson was pretty much finished.Disagree. Doubt it. Will prob burn out and retire in the next 2-3 years thoughis root retiring this year?
Genuinely hilarious coming from flem of all people. You can't go a week without mentioning Anderson's away numbers and yet get defensive when it's pointed out KW's away record so far is pretty mediocre. Have some self awareness ffs.Good to see the selective away record argument is back
What was your argument against Anderson again?Good to see the selective away record argument is back
Actually put Conway in there and the NZ batting quartet would be strongerWilliamson
Taylor
Nicholls
Watling
is pretty similar in strength
No, the 44.6 avg, 11 tons is his entire record. No selective filters. (https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/e...;home_or_away=3;template=results;type=batting)you've forgotten to include his tons in Australia and the UAE there.
No he's not. But his away record so far is shite compared to Root.I get it - one of the fab 4 must secretly be a fraud at all times -
Sehwag played some pretty sick knocks in Australia and Pakistan, 2 of their most important opponents. He has questions to answer but not on the level of say Adam Voges or Henry Nicholls. No, the 44.6 avg, 11 tons is his entire record. No selective filters. (https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/e...;home_or_away=3;template=results;type=batting)
As a huge Sehwag fan, he was most definitely an HTB imo.
No he's not. But his away record so far is ****e compared to Root.
That his terrible face reminds me of your postsWhat was your argument against Anderson again?
And your face? That his terrible face reminds me of your posts
my face reminds me of kohli's test batting average since 2020And your face?
Which is wrongI argued KW is better than Root in Australia
